hello, so i got a scarlet legged hermit a couple days ago and it seems to have two antenna coming out of the pointed end of the shell and what ever it is some times pushes things out of the shell, what is this and what do i do to fix it? is it a parasite that is going to infect my whole tank or am i totally paranoid?

it will be okay to take it out of the tank to get pics or to inspect it too.

I only have a cell phone camera and the pic i can take doesn't show anything in detail.( its all to blurry to see) however the end of the shell is whiter than the rest, also the little thing that is in the hole is almost clear. Its hard to see it when its in the tank and it pulls its self back in when it came out of the water. the only thing that i have found is that it could be a spionid worm some sort of harmless hitchhiker? I just do not know for sure. It has two clear tentacles, and can move those tentacles in and out of the shell. Has anyone else ever seen/heard of this?
