I've got this coral growing on a Zoanthid rock. I noticed it about a week ago and it's grown larger since. Decided to try and ID it. It's hard skeletoned and polyps retract when moved. I'm almost positive it's an SPS of some kind. If you look closely, you can see the polyps. They're a darker red/brown than the tissue between fluorescent green coralites. Wondering what kind...lol. Thinking some type of Montipora maybe?? Any guesses??

This same rock had another SPS hitchhiker on it that is about the size and shape of a pencil erasure. I broke off that portion of rock so I could move it into light. I'll try and get pics of it once it gets a lil' larger.

My guess would be some type of monti as well. I got one similar to this one that was under my yellow figi leather so I put up closer to my light. The base started changing colors from brown to a bright green with a hint of orange. Bring yours up closer to the light and see what color it turns into.
