i am halfway through my cycle and and while moving around some LR rubble i found a small red mushroom. any thoughts on weather it will survive the nitrite spike, i know they are pretty hearty but...

cool i am happy for the little guy.
also this morning i noticed a small polyp in a piece of live rock, when i flipped it over there were actually 4 polyps of a bland little zoa. they all look ok considering they were laying more or less face down in my sand bed for a week or two. i have read that zoas are some of the more forgiving corals but will the polyps survive the rest of my cycle?

eh i don't think that the zoas will make it if they were face down for a week or two. Unless they are button polyps, those things live through anything

they are ok from being flipped over (they were on top of some large LR rubble and weren't touching much, just low light), two were partially opened the next morning. just wondering if anyone has had any on there live rock that lived through the cycle?
