I hate media cd,vhs...... I have Three 1Tb NAS drives and a couple 500g NAS drives. These are great and hold thousand of cd's and dvd's. What I'm looking for is a media player to get these to my tv. Right now there is just a pc wired to the SRS but thats a drag.

Any one have a recomendation?

Not sure how much you want to spend, but these guys seem to have the next generation of centralized digital media distribution, & content control.

I've been looking into this as well for myself. I'd like to be able to access the content wherever I am with just a remote. So, if you're up in bed, and remember you have the latest episode of your favorite program recorded on your DVR downstairs, and you want to watch that instead of the news, I'd like to be able to use the remote and select where I want to stream the content.

And, of course while I'm dreaming, pull up a recorded movie, play a selection of music on demand wherever I am.

But, convenience costs a few thousand dollars more than I'm willing to spend. So, I hoof it downstairs to watch what's been recorded...(sigh)...someday.

Ya thats pretty old school and the same as I'm using. Basicly just a pc with a bluetooth remote. All media are stored on network nas drives. So basicly any one on the network has access. The problem is getting the media to the tv without a pc with svideo hardwired to it.
Also I cant fine a decent way to back up three terra bites of media.

Thanks
Don
