I know I know this is an old topic that has been covered over and over.... I want my clowns to host and they won't.

First: Do Black mis-bar clowns host RBTA
2nd: Does anyone have a picture of this happening?
3rd: What else besides the picture method can I use
4th if they don't host, any tips for getting them out without tearing down the tank

Get a clarkii clown, they seem to host anything, your other clowns will likely follow suit. Then you have a clarkii to catch and give away. But this method could be likened to the old lady who swallowed a fly. However it did work for me, I had an Atlantic green condylactis that are rarely hosted by clowns, I had a pair of percs that were not interested, I got my clarkii who dove into it, within a couple weeks the percs pushed him out. Your clowns may host on their own if you give em enough time.

well the method that i used to host my clowns was simply by using a net to trap the clowns and cover them over the anemone. this way the anemone will have a chance to sting them, which the clowns eventually learn to like and will host in. id say do this about 15 to 30 minutes a day for as long as they begin to host. mine hosted by the 3rd day! good luck i hope this helps. devid

Here's mine. It's partner hasn't jumped in yet but is getting closer and closer. I used the pic method as I stated in your previous post.

I can not recommend trapping your Clowns into you Anemone, let nature take it course, it may take a week or 6 months

It took well over 12 months for my female to start hosting. The male took to it in about 3-4 months. Now he can't get near it without the female chasing him away. Poor little guy has to sleep on the outside of his home now.

So my vote would be for patience and let nature take it's course....and the 'picture' method as well.
