no thanks!!! lol ...i need mine pretty quick..it was in the sun for a while at the lfs...he said he put it out back in the sun for a while..he had just brought it inside in buckets..some of it was damp though, so i don't know what that is about..it is all sun-bleached white though, so it was in the sun at some point!!

LOL...I wanted to make it base rock so that's why I did it. There is some stuff people put in their water to kill all the algae and then you have to follow it up with tons of water changes but I can't remember what it's called. I've seen my friend from the LFS here use it before.

i will just see what happens without chemicals i don't really like adding anything to the tanks, besides calcium....i actually picked for probably 2 hours today..i got alot of it, but the short stuff is so short that i can't pull it off

Ok if a tooth brush can't get rid of your algae... then nothing can't .. only the sun :lol: .... by the way did you use a soft one? because soft ones don't work that good, i use the strong one for brushing my rocks and the soft ones to hold my lights .

just as a tip, if you're pulling it with your hands (no that you can do it with your feet like Krish :lol: ) have a little bucket of RO water or just tap water and everytime you take your hands out of the water and put the algae in a paper or whatever, wash your hands and then put them back in your tank ... i know it sounds crazy but it suppose to help so whatever gets in your fingers or nails (if you don't cut them) doens't get back in there .

Yeah...I never use chemicals either. Not even to treat fish sickness etc. If a fish looks sick, I usually flush um :shock: J/K Yeah...Just see how it goes. Without anything to feed it, the algae will go on it's own.

you were right about the heat Brendon!!!...it is 82 degrees in the tank...i never would have thought it would've gotten up there!!!! it was freezing cold earlier
