I Think I'm Killing My Softies!!!

Hey all, Its been awhile since I last posted. Looking at the "How much is too much lighting" thread and I'm starting to wonder, I have 2 400w 14k halides , and 2 40w supplements with all softies and LPS and I noticed that my leathers haven't been closed off . First off it's a 100g tank (60x18x20) and levels read :
ph-8.2
nitrates-0
Nitrite-o
ammonia-0
cal-450
alk-2.97
po4-.01
mag-1400
Could it be too much light or just me.

How about some pics of your softies? Does seem like an awful lot of light for soft corals...especially since your tank isn't that deep. But softies are usually pretty tolerant of most lighting conditions.

I seem to have a hard time getting my discosoma mushrooms to do very well under 196W of 50/50 PC in a 30G. IMO you have way too much light for most softies. Guess you'd better gear up for SPS.

You could ask anyone on here about me and my love for iodine. Do you dose any? I have my softies, lps and sps in a 36 gal with a 250watt 14k mh and two 65watt pc's.

No I don't dose iodine, but I do dose 2 part for cal/alk, But I do a 25% waterchange every sunday.
