Id Help

Hello,

Can anyone help me Id this.... uhh.... stuff.

Its the brown carpetish things covering my rocks. I just noticed that it is on pretty much all my rocks in my 30gal. Its not hard like rock, but kinda soft like a soft plastic.

Its very ugly and I plan on removing it, just not anytime soon. It seems like some sort of algae-like mat.

Yep I think thats it. I cant seem to find if its good or bad. Im thinking its fine just makes your rock ugly so to me bad.

as with any algae if you keep it in check then it won't be an issue. you might also look up lobophora...it is another algae that looks similar
