Im in need of some id of some corals. I want to make a list of what i got, but i have a habbit of buying whats "pretty" and forgetting what it is. Wife does the same...lol.

I do the same thing.
I dont know what some of the names are of coral I have either.
SUNSET MONTI
RAINBOW MONTI
GOLDEN EYE CHALICE ON THE LEFT AND FRONT LOOKS LIKE BIRD OF PARADISE (BIRDSNEST)
CYPHASTREA
LAST ONE I DONT KNOW. LOOKS LIKE AN ALGEA OF SOME KIND.

See. This is why i like the hobby so much. It was growing real real slow on the table acro. When the acro died, this un id coral took off. Its tripled in size in the last 5 months. Theres something else growing on the back i cant get a pic of. Tottaly different color. The texture of this one is hard, it does have feelers that come out sometimes at night. I have to look real close to see them. The one on the backside is bright green.

With the feelers, and hard surface. Is it a crusty surface and fleshy feeling inside? I think you need to cut a piece off and disect it. We need pics with the feelers too. More pics...more pics...lol

Holy cow...mad scientists in the mist...hahaha. I wouldnt even know how to do that and even if i did, i wouldnt know what im looking at. I can say its maybe 1 or 2 mm thick. Real thin. Hard like a shell.

I still think its a calciferous algae
probably even coraline. Coraline grows in many different forms and a couple colors. pink, purple and green being a few.

Heres a couple more with the flash off. I also turned the table a little to get a picture of the thing on the back. Still not a good picture. Also cant get a picture of the feelers.

Ive never bought any undata. Ive had the acro for about a year andnow 5 months. Its been dead for about a year. Dont know why it died. The calcerous stuff on the front has always been there, but the green thing on the back is something new in the last month or 2. Its interesting the stuff that happens in our tanks, good or bad, "just cuz".

#1. I believe it's a Turbinaria Scroll coral. A closer photo will help distinguish if it's that or some type of Montipora
#2. Encrusting Montipora, possibly a Superman Monti, possibly suffering.
#3. A Chalice and probably a Seriatapora gutata
#4. Cyphastrea
#5. You'll need to get a much more focused photo.

I get that alot bout the pics. I only have my phone and i cant really get any closer. Why do you think #2 is possibly suffering?

It's not showing any polyp structure at all. I've experienced this twice, with Superman Monti. In my case, it was getting too much light, I think. Once, I was able to correct it, and it recovered. The other time, I waited to long to take corrective measures and the piece died. Both looked exactly like yours does.
