Here I have a few links to some suggestions on a phosphate reactor and I now know that I will be able to place most of these either in a sump or HOB of the sump, not HOB of the tank itself. I like to see if any here can add to the type of selection I now have and I will need a phosphate reactor for three tanks, a 150 plus a 65 gal sump and a 180 plus a 50 gal tank and a 240 with plus a 100-125 gal sump. Also if anybody here know of where i can buy both phosphate and calcium media in as large a bucket I can get. I know this isn't cheap buy by buying it so large I not would need to buy them so often.

the only difference between most of the phosphate reactors is the size. The larger they are the more media they hold so the less often you need to replace the media. Having used all of them except the AquaC, I would go with the PM. It offers the largest capacity to hold media.

I would also look at the Pura brand of phosphate media. It is the latest generation of Iron based products.

I rather go larger and more money so it hold so much more media other then to be replacing desolved media ever so often. Do you know anything about the Deltec models? And I need a change over from litres to us gals and cost should be less in dollars for most change over currencies, the US dollar gives those countries more value to the dollar, or is it the other way around?

Buddy Thanks :)

the small FR-509 will hold 1 liter of media, but it cost $209. there are larger models, but the cost is up there.

Thanks and Monday I will try calling Atlantis Aquariums And check if what the prices are as if they are as I now see them at for the models FR509 $209.00 and FR616 $778.00, I will then go with two FR509 for the 150 and 180 and I much time before im to start the 240 which will have a total water volume, more then 300 gals in which then I will have to figure that I will have to go with FR1016. I already had spent thousands on the 240 system and its nt in the way im happy with it, which is why I will still need to spend a few thousands more to have it somewhat decent enough that I can be proud show photos and im still the same like to begin a link of my own, I had one that was free and back when I had problems due to AOL, I lost many things which I would wanted to keep.

OK people, this is what I will be going with that after the end of the year I will order first from Deltec a calcium reactor, PF501 for $651.00 and later on after that I then will get two FR509 phosphate reactors for $444.50 and at the same time of buying the phosphate reactors I will then also be changing the 180 gal reef tanks lighting over to 250 watt MH. And then in time, much later I will then get the APF 600 skimmer for $885.00. In due time as the years go on, I would had then changed over completely to Deltec and for the 240 gal tank when ever it be im ready to rebuild this tank, I will if not go through the cost for a new stand, I would then be getting the AP702 for $1,851.00 for which I still would be getting if I had the proper stand, would had a skimmer that cost $1,000 or more and the stand would cost far more then $800 meaning that I might as well go with the AP702 skimmer when getting ready to start the 240 gal reef tank.

I know everybody, crazy prices> But you cannot argue with wanting to buy the best one can get for their money and yes, I been more then enough with my patience and delays in starting these tanks, but it is about to happen even if the wait goes on for just until after the start of the new year.

Thanks for those who assisted in my search :)

I am not going to debate the quality of some of the Deltec products. I have used them and know what works and what does not. I can tell you that all the PF-501 and PF-509 calcium reactors have had their pumps fail in 6 to 9 months. When you speak to Atlantis Aquariums, ask them about the issues with Deltec calcium reactors. I have gone to dosing systems. They cost a little less and do the same job, maybe better at keeping levels constant. You might want to check out Precession Marine for a reactor.

Whichever way you go, I am sure you will do well. Don't get caught up on a name brand. There are some very good products out there now.
