So my name is Brendon and I am looking for some help to install a new skimmer for my Biocube 29 Gallon.

Does anybody live nearby Edmonds community college?

Good work TNT! I am happy to see people stepping up. That is what I call being a community hobbyist. Helping another hobbyist out when needed is key to success for both.

Yep thats what this hobby is all about. this local community is pretty tight..
Us northwester stick together and help each other out alot!

Well it didn't. The backpack skimmer doesn't fit with my hood. Somebody told me that it went down into the back of my tank. I need to figure out one that will fit in the back.

BUMMER! it doesnt sound like you got the right model.... :(
i recommended the CPR bakpak SR3 model, which was designed to go in the back of a 29g biocube.

" Easily slides inside of the Oceanic BioCube 29 sump area; fits in the middle chamber of the sump section of the BioCube 29 without any modifications. The lid closes as originally manufactured and the collection cup can be easily removed for cleaning through the rear access hatch."

hopefully they let you return the regular bakpak...

Hmmm...Good to know. I will definitely contact them and make the switch.

It's really nice meeting you DEXTER, sorry that you skimmer doesn't fit. if you get a new skimmer let me know, I'll come over and help..

can you cut notches out of the lid and set it up that way i did it on a 14 gallon

Awesome! Thanks for your help. Are you still coming over on Wednesday? Question

Ok, I'll come over after 4:30PM...but you need to go to get some salt water before I come so I can help re-arrange LR. Do still need to get a extra power head? I may have a small one can sell it to you. Let me know...text me.
