There are a couple of Butterflies that are said to be reef safe. One is the Pyramid and the other is a Schooling Banner. I also have a Rusty Dwarf Angle that does not bother my sps.

I was looking at the rusty dwarf angel. I like that one. The butterfly I would like is the Dot Dash Butterflyfish (Chaetodon punctatofasciatus). I have never seen one. We will see how hard it is to get one.

My Rusty has only one eye. Bought him for a discount. Beautiful little fish.

Lorrie,

Ive own several pyramid butterflies and they are great..but in my opinion do better in a schoal...that is, 3 or more....i got my from Les, WPH..

FWIW, Ive own a flame angel multiple times and never had an issue with it bother corals..the key is to feed at least 3X a day..

Your right, that is the key...however...I am not home all day and that just cant be done. I could drop some food in before I leave in the morning, but most fish...and people...are still asleep.:sleep:

I'm really happy this morning. Everyone is out and about this morning, doing great and getting along.

I took some video last night but there were only two 4' actinic T5s on so it was kinda dark.
I will take another tonight when I get home.

Very nice build thread:) Thanks for bring us along! I am using a Dart pump also with four 1" inlets are you happy with the flow it put's out?

Thanks Spinner. I am having fun with it. Still have somethings to set up, like an ATO and possibly a 25 gal refugium.
Yeah, I think I am happy with it. I have never used any other pump, so I dont really know how it stacks up against any others. I am sure there are some dead areas in the tank. I will soon figure out where those areas are, I am sure!

Just to update the fish in the tank right now are
Hawaiian Saddleback Wrasse
Tomani (Flame Fin) Tang
Orange Shoulder Tang
Purple Tang
Bursa Trigger
and 5 talbot damsels

I have an auto feeder too. I just might set it up. I rarely feed pellet or flake food. Actually never fed flake food to the SW fish. And have only fed spirulina pellets on rare occasions.

So if you removed all that sand in the bottom of your tank you could crank up some REAL flow and get rid of any dead spots!!!! LOL

is it always this blue during the day?

No its not that blue at all. The halides were off and the camera just....its just a crappy video.

I took another one tonight with the lights on.
I'll get it posted in a few.
