ok i just got finished plumbing my 125 gl tank, as many of you know and i for 1 think it looks great but i would aslo like my sump/refuge to look just as professional as the tank its cleaning is there any way i can make it look really good like a pro, do any of you guys have a diy pro looking tank that just aint divided into chambers by glass walls

i wanna go alll out on this 1

whats a good way to hold the baffle that the water is gonna go under instead of over in the air

just put something over it to hold it up untilthe silicome dries???

BTW, if your sump is made out of glass then you'll have to use silicone to put in the baffles however if acrylic, then weldon glue will do the trick

I use a pack of smokes to hold up the second baffel,laying flat of corse.If the pack is empty than you might want to put some paper towles in it to hold it's shape.I also always make that the last one to silicone[usually hours later]so that you dont have to worry about moving the other's as you smooth out the bead with your finger.

I used a small piece of a 2x4 on my sump. One under and a couple small pieces to keep the space between the baffles even.

i used a lighter

after a few years the glue will be gone.

u can see i gave it all of about 5 min to do... but with some creativty you can do real nice

Hey that's a sweet five man I think I'm gonna go with more of a water fall out of the first chamber and baffles after that look its worked for me thus far so I guess ill stick with it
