OK, July is just around the corner and tipically a busy month for family activities so we need to start planning what date/time/location/topic for the North Sound Reefers crew. Todd (NWDiver) is/was scheduled to host and has a Freakin' HUGE Man-Cave/Shop that could/should be taken advantage of in the form of some type of Club Workshop.

Please feel free to suggest some topics of interest and days that work out best for the majority. I'd like to get some additional coral lists from members who could not make it to June's meeting at Red C Aquarium. I'm starting a spreadsheet for our club's Coral Bank and should be ready for some additional data by then.

Cheers, Todd

"Other Todd", that is very generous of you to make a list of my corals. I don't care what everybody else says, as you strive to achieve adequacy you are an almost alright guy!
You're welcome!

That is awesome for Todd to volunteer like that. *lol* Now I don't have to worry about figuring out what is what in my tanks. :D

I'd like to offer up one lil DIY project for this next Get Together at Todd's (NWDiver) place. It is something I came up with out of neccessity for the new tank, being made of 3/4" acrylic my favorite new magnetic algae clip did not have enough umph to hold. So with some extra/larger neo magnets and some foam board from Michaels I modded to work. I should now call it Two-Big-Ol'-Fishes Vegi Clip.

foam board that I cut/punched out using a pvc pipe w/ sharpened bevel end

The foam board is very inexpensive and the neo-mags from www.magnetsf4sale.com that I used were 5/8x5/8 @ 1.39 and 5/8x1/2 for 1.35. I glued it up with I/C gel and sanded smooth to match.

Cheers, Todd

I would like to join in on your get togethers if possible. I live in Marysvilel. Not sure how often i can attend with work, but I think it would be great to meet some of you and talk reefs

Sooooo, what’s the word on our July 'Get Together' Todd (NWDiver ) if still at your place what day/ time and what would you like to do?

PNWnano, you're more than welcome to join in just shoot a pm to me or Floyd (tat2z-21) with contact info to let us keep you in the loop.

Cheers, Todd

Yeah, Todd, the pressure is on. And no excuses, "I was traveling the world diving at all of the premier sights and really exhausted from seeing all of that stuff in the MEDITERRANEAN."

Hahahaha! Sorry, been swamped since my return.
I'm thinking the 23rd, but need to make sure that nothing else is planned. I will confirm on Monday.
Let me know if that is a bad day for anyone.
All projects are welcome, let me know in advance if you need me to stock up on any materials or tools.
Geeze, I guess I will have to clean the place up a bit before then :)
I can setup the Frag saw if anyone wants to do some fragging.

I believe SEAMAX is that weekend. I volunteered to work it, but I'm not sure which day they will need me, so I may not be able to make it to the meeting if it is on the 23rd. I will keep you posted :)

Ugh, I was paging through a magazine today and read what you already figured out. the 23rd is in fact SeaMax.
Can I leave some chips on the table and the door open?
Yep, gonna have to move the date for sure! I am booked this coming weekend, so that leaves the 30th.
If we have enough interest, the 30th will work for me, else we can plan for a different weekend in the future.
@Mike - No problem, bring that bad dog up here :) Actually the "cave" is not well suited for automotive work... Yet. When I finish the house this will change!
@Floyd - Geeze, you and lights! I think I saw some leds at the dollar store, I'll grab a handfull :)
@Jill - You and\or hubby are more than welcome of course! It is only a "man cave" due to the dirt, a woman would have that place clean and organized!

The most critical thing is patching a 1.25" hole in an acrylic tank. I should have done that last week. (Weldon 18 ok or 40 better?)

I was given a DIY tank that I need to convert to a sump... I need to make doors for an 8' stand... Is this the type of project you would like to see?

The 30th works for me. I will be on an airplane on the 1st.
