I'm not sure about all this led lighting. I want to room it. But everything is so expensive. I want to do two par38 blue and white that can screw into a dimmable light fixture. And one red green led light that's the same but everything is expensive. And suggestions.

you could try to do a LED Build and would save you a ton over a prebuilt fixture. what is your budget? shouldn't need to many led's for a 20 gallon.

The light fixture is a normal dimmable light fixture, which is why I like the par38 series from Ecoray. Becaust I can get a fixture for it from homedepo AS specified on their website. But I'm wondering if there is something cheaper?.

Your right about the par 38 bulbs being easy. what i would do instead is to build my own fixture. it probably going to cost you in the 150 range for the two par38's bulbs plus fixtures. You can have a sweet setup if you diy for that cost! thats just my two cents

Just bought a 36 LED kit from AquaStyleOnline.... not the top end DIY kit but its a great start for a reasonable price. DIY Dimmable 36 LED kit w/ 18x 10k white, 14x Royal Blue, 2 Red, 2 UV (Purple). For $120 +S&H to Massachusetts was $175 all together.

I have done some testing on those lights your refering to Josh and they dont really put out much in the way of Par.
