Lesson # 2451
- Always replace your hoses when you are moving materials from one tank to another.

Case in point - My tank hours after I added my old canister filter. I took it off of my FW tank, totally cleaned the canister, totally spaced the hoses... And my tank two weeks later after endless agressive water changes!

personally i would use a canister filter on a reef tank i used to use one and had nothing but algea problems i took it off and things got alot better they are a very bad detriutes catchers and need very regular cleanings which is a hassel in its self best of luck
