i got a couple colonies, ill get pics in the am when my lights come on but while we we wait for mine, lets see yours

I don't think I have ever seen "blastos" before. They look like ricordia's. Do you have any additional info on them?

do a search on blasstmousa wellsi or blasstmousa merleti... spelling may be off.....

Blastomussa merleti and wellsi. Common name = pineapple coral According to "Aquarium Corals", Eric B says the B. wellsi can be distinguished by its corallites and polyps. They have a larger diameter of 4-5 inches, which is more than twice the size of B. merleti at mature size. He also indicates B. merleti forms long, tubular corallites that are brittle and easily broken from healthy specimens to form new colonies.

Great pics!

What cool organisms! Thank you for sharing your blastos bigreefer.

Thank you Niki!

Time to load the check book and go hunting ;)

I got a few Blastomussa Wellsi and also 1 Blastomussa Merletti

Thanx Nikki:)

One more picture of the Nicest Wellsi I have. This was taken when it was on 65 gallon and it was under actinic lights as you can see.

Thanx Chuck and reedman. Even though Blastomussas are corals that grow slowly, they are a lot of fun to look at. How is your reef coming along Chuck? Looking forward to see some updated pictures soon.
