Looking to kill two birds with one stone. Need a light in my sump cabinet for when I'm working in it just because its dark. Even though I am working on bringing a display fuge online, I'm considering also reverse lighting the sump with some chaeto tumbling just for the PH stability.
Anyone think this light could do both? Trying to avoid the clip on for the rust and replacement.. this is plastic and would mount nicely in the top of my cabinet.

looks like that light would work. it didn't say how many watts it is. go to ebay and type in led 20 watt flood light. that is what i am using for my sump and works great.

Seemed like all those had metal housing.. Trying to avoid the metal. Its not likely to get wet, but it is likely to be pretty humid.
Specs say it maxes at 15 watts. Seems like as soon as you get any more wattage they start doing 'quality construction', which makes it metal.

gonna bump this up.. would like a little more feedback. Not trying to go 'cheap', just don't want to over do it for some cheato I might not even do, and I'm trying to avoid metal. Anyone else have an opinion on the light?

the clamp would be fine for the cheato part, but will it be in the way when i'm trying to work in the sump so i'd have to move it.. then the sump is dark? i'm looking at the under cabinet stuff so i can still light it when i have my hands in there....
do you have to move yours when you work in there? maybe i'm just over thinking it... just feels like it'd be in the way...

Thanks Kirk. I was planning on trying it at least. If it isn't enough, I can always add the clip on light later.
Killing me how many things keep getting in the way of getting this new fuge online. LOL

I never considered humidity being bad in a sump but it makes sense. Anyone ever put a lid/cover on the sump?
