I'm planning a tank and I have a question about Loc-Line; In short, how reliable is it? The reason I ask is because I plan to have a couple of Loc-Line runs going form back to front towards the bottom of the tank. The Loc-Lines (two runs) will be under the sand and will ultimately have rock on top of them. I'd like to hear people's long-term experience with them.

Thanks.

Its very reliable and will probably out live the tank. Just seems to be a waste to have it burried, kind of expensive.

Well, I will most likely have some PVC going from front to back covered with 3" of sand and all my aquascaping. The PVC will terminate with Loc-Line fittings to push flow from the bottom up towards the rock/coral.

Thanks.

I agree with Don...Lockline will probably outlast your tank. They are really durable and I'm really happy with what I've been able to do with mine:)

Loc line is very durable. As stated above, use PVC where you can to avoid extra cost.
