I remember finding a link on here last year for a mag float algae scraper that could do 1"+ acrylic (or glass) tanks and would still float but I can't seem to find it anymore. It had removable pads and an acrylic polishing kit but I'm just looking for algae removal. It was not the actual Mag Float brand though.

The mighy magnets are alot better in my opinion. they offer both floating and non floating and can make you any size you need if they dont have but they have all sizes. i would go with an F4 or better yet the F6. you can also get the spacer. you would also want to get the algae dozer for hard coraline and the algae cutter for the not so hard algae. I have the f2 and f6 and they are hella nice and strong. they also come in a case. here is there website info

I've seen the Great White at Barrier but I need it to float because it is for a 34" high Peninsula tank that has a clam shell hood and the front half of it is glued down, getting to the front bottom is a real pain.
