I have a mag18 that I have installed for my return from the sump. From day 1 it has been fantastic and I have no creep or air problems.
I am now beginning to setup another tank and I plan on using the same type pumps becuase of the luck I had with the 18.
So just my opinion but maybe it'll help you out
