I have a 24g nanocube. It had peppermint shrimp, cleaner shrimp and bunch of snails and hermits. I got two baby maroon clowns yesterday. One big slightly larger than 1 inch, and one small slightly less then 1inch. At first the big one just chase the small one if it gets close enough. But they were happy swimming around checking out the tanks.
Today, I see the big one mouth slighty puffy. They have been fighting the whole evening. They bite each other, lock lips, twisting and turning like siamese fighting fish. Should I be worried? I would assume the big one to dominate the small one. But it looks like they are dead even...I would even say the small one is kind of dominating.
I hope it stops soon because it looks a lil violent. What should I do? Separate them or is this natural?
They are very pretty though. The small one even went and host in the Xenia I have at night. The large one just spent the whole night on a corner of a tank. The tank is big enough for them to roam though.
Any ideas? thanks. I am new to this hobby.
