So i am having lots of micro bubbles come into my tank from my return pump. and its because of all the small bubbles in my return section. here is a photo of how it is setup. The white line is 1/2in PVC pipe going to the pump. any ideas?

move the return pump to other side!
The three baffel is for a bubble trap!
Your running it backwards!!
put a bunch of liverock rubble in the first chamber and your set my friend!

Well try and turn down the flow sounds like to much flow and splashing is occuring
try to get the PVC as far awat from the "WALL" as possible and as deep in the water as possible matbe 1 1/2 inch from the bottom so it wont catch as many bubbles from the splashing

I think your water is falling to far, heres a few pics of my sump, first falls about 8 inchs, second only about 3 inches after tripple baffel

depending on your overflow and confidence with it just maintain a water level above the walls..... then again i'm not a fan of baffles unless your doing some form of refugium. I just have a 20 gallon tank for a sump and I have no micro bubbles in the display tank. (i also have my overflow and return running slowly)

yes, you are running it backwards. If you listen and add the rubble rock around the dump pipe, I usually run the pvc to the bottom and put a 90 on the bottom. Then the water has to flow through the rubble. the add the live rock or make a refugium in the middle chamber. your baffles look a little close together, but the idea is to create the flow through this area and the baffle give the air a place to escape...Of course if your flow is tremendous then you may have to back down your pump. You may also have a little break in period simaliar to a skimmer.
