Help Support Reef Aquarium & Tank Building Forum:

Things going on Ice, lots of goodies, lots of last minute touch ups, signs getting ready to be posted for Barbeque. Nano tanks being prepared.
Lots of people gathering at one place from all over Northwest!

I got about a hour sleep because of all the happenings over 24 hours.

I would do it again in a heart beat thouogh..:D

I am going to post everyone I have.

Here is a picture of Dale and Todd's Parents @ bbq on Friday night.

Midcolumbia Saltwater's Kyle M from Milton Freewater,Oregon displaying raffle items..

Here is Kyle showing items to be raffled.:) The picture of nano tank was with out the LED lighting system hood on it. The hood matches the stand for a clean combination.

Kevin Pockell presentation and BBQ Part 1

Kevin Pockell entertained with tricks of trade, hints to make you a successful reef keeper, and safety tips to prevent harm to you and corals. Kevin demontrated technics and Personal protection equipment for you and corals. :)

Come on ED, Put down the BEER and post some pics :D
PS Want to see what I missed

Ok Tracy, you caught me, lol.

This is Midcolumbia Saltwater President John Goldenberg. He is giving us a heads up on the tank tour. The Midcolumbia Saltwater Club were really organized this year. Angel was stuck in Denver. But Cindy Harrington made sure Road Maps to Tanks, Conference, Audtorium were ready. I heard lots of comments from people how well maps were this year.

Picture is of my wife, Steve from Idaho, and President of MCSAC John Goldenberg.

1st Tank Tour Stop Zul's

These are pictures of first stop on Tank tour. This is Zul's Tank.
You remember that little guy that is smiling and always hand gesturing to the crowd. You know him, you love him. That is Zul. Here is his 175 gallon tank in front of these people.

Here are a few Portland people.
Ken and his wife, and Brandy.

very well organized Caravan........

Caravan for Tank tour this year had people putting on flashers to show we were a group. Did anyone get a count of cars involved? I am guessing 20 maybe more. :)

2nd Stop was Vicki and Darrell Glassford's 150 gallon IAP Tank

Here are my thoughts of this Family"s Saltwater Aquarium. The Glassfords researched their equipment and the hobby for about two years. Then set this tank up. This is a very well designed tank.:) very good job Darrel, Vicki and Dave. :)

Thank you ED. Looked like I missed a good one/ fun time. Weather looked great for house hopping. OH'
PS Your wife looks much hotter than you told me LOL. Best to ya and be safe Chow

Third Tank on tour was mine.

I am not going to post any pictures of my tank. I will say that my tank was totally aqua scaped by three friends that visited Friday night until 4.30am.
I think Sanjay and Mike Palletta can tell ya. My tank looked entirely different less than 24 hours previously. I learned that a few fish in my tank like the Red Sea Cleaner Wrasse and My Black Velvet Angel are coral eaters.
My Angel recently started picking on my corals. Here is a picture of the Red Sea Cleaner Wrasse.

I want to say, that you alway learn from comparing tanks. People visiting usually see something you do not. So Tank tours provide needed information most of the time to Hobbyist. :)

Things I learned were aquascaping for coral placement, flow and lighting.
Two fish that are not compatible with reef tanks. A little about Ozone from Sanjay and Mike.

Someone else can post pictures if they like, but I am not going to at this time.

I would like to thank the Mid Columbia club for hosting a wonderful conference. I have to say you were one of the best hosts I have had in my travels all over the country.

The conference was very well organized and ran without a hitch (I am sure there were some, but they were well hidden :)). The people were all very friendly and hospitable. Special Thanks to Rick for hosting the barbeque, Nate for letting us stay at his house and driving us all over the place and having to get up at an ungodly hour to take us to the airport, and Ed for that special boat ride on the Columbia.

Thanks everyone - you are a great club and keep that way.

sanjay.

Ed, your club did an amazing job keeping everything together, good job everyone!

oh yea, anyone else have more pics please! :p

What are the dates on next years Mid Columbia Conference I want to get them in my calendar. Next year I will get there early for the Barbeque. Ed almost drank all of the Beer by the time I got there.
