Well after a long break I am getting back at it. I bought a new skimmer the Reef Octopus 200 recirc. It took me forever to get it because fed ex lost it. I had to go door to door looking for it. Thank God I found it. So far I am very impressed with the construction of this skimmer. I am still going to finish the skimmer I started. It is very close to being finished. I just can't imagine my electric bill if I put it online. Thus the new needle wheel skimmer. If I ever get a larger tank I will use the beckett. I finished the electrical and the drain line last weekend. I am hopping to get everything up and running this weekend. It is kinda a long shot but I need to get this thing running. I will get pictures up as soon as it is done.

Sounds great Brian! I figured the little one has consumed a lot of your time. I look forward to your pics and good luck:)

Thanks man. I really feel bad about not getting this thing done. Hope you are feeling better after your bad day yesterday. How long untill your little one is here it has to be soon.

Gaby I can tell you I was freakin when it showed up on fed ex tracking as delivered and it wasn't here. I also had it delivered to work (Milwaukee) which is not in the best of neighborhoods. I kinda thought I was going to be out of luck. Fortunately they delivered it to some honest people.:D

Some honest people that had no clue what had just received. :)
Its funny you say that because the guy that got it asked me if it was some kinda fancy bong:lol: He did open it but everything was still there and intact.

LOL!! i'd have freaked out too  more because they cost quite some money.
Probably if the guy would have known what it was, he would have sell it on ebay  .... but thank god that didn't happen ;) :) .

Well everything is up and running. I need to make a few changes yet but nothing major. The best part was no leaks:D I will get pictures up tomorrow. I finished at 11:30 last night so I was to tired to snap some.

Very cool Brian...Can't wait to see what you did:)

ROFLMAO Nick!!!

Thanks Krish! I have to change around how the drain line enters the bubble trap yet. It is splashing to much water right now. Thats why that acrylic cover is over it currently. I am hoping to add an atlas ATO unit in the next week or so. I have to sell my old skimmer first otherwise I will be in the dog house. I would also like to add a controller and Ca Reactor but that is not going to be for a few months.

Does anyone know if the output of the skimmer can be under water or not? It is a Recirculating needle wheel. It is currently under water but can be changed easily if needed.

Thats all for your 75g?! Thats great work Brian!

Thanks nick! Yeah it is all for my 75. The large rubbermaid tub I am going to set up pvc/eggcrate shelves for frags. It seems like a little overkill but eventually I will move into a bigger tank. Unfortunaltly I will have to buy a new house to fit it all in.
