Hello,
In the home aquarium the growth pattern of SPS corals can vary to appear like a different coral. The contrasting polyp colour is most often associated with S. guttatus. The S. caliendrum I've seen is always cream, tan, brown, or pink with the polyps of similar colour.

Also S. guttatus is very common while S. caliendrum is uncommon. So while it is possible that you have come across a very rare color morph of S. caliendrum the evidence leans toward S. guttatus.

Cheers,
Kevin
PS: In any case you have a very nice coral :)

Thanks Kevin, thanks Krish.
Growth and colors there are with T5 in my case.
I think that the merit is also of the issolution of aragonite sand in sugar-sized and of my tiny but a lot polulated refugium. I have used ATI tubes until to 2 weeks ago. Now I'm testing Aquamedic T5 at 15.000°K (ATI was 12.000).
In the future I would like test the LED option system because some friend had very nice growth and colors with low consumption.
