Awesome photos! I think I need to get a better camera one of these days.

Well, it looks as tho things are finally starting to work in conjunction with themselves after a 5-6 month hiatus. I did my water tests this morning, and the alkalinity is at 8.3 dkh, and the calcium has finally started to come back down, it is at 430, after over 3 months at 440 or above. To me, this means that I have that little bit of balance that I have been searching for. I am gonna knock on wood, cuz I know what will happen now that I said anything at all

. I am not going to change anything, I am just flat happy to see the numbers I saw this morning.
Another thing that I have noticed, is that the coralline algae is making a comeback. This means a little more scraping, but hell, I will scrape coralline until it hurts if it means things are balanced. It had been since early November that I had done a total cleaning of the glass like I did this morning, and dammit, it felt good.
Just an update on my lights, the blues are at 50% and the whites are at 45%. I have to wonder whether the increase in the white % has anything to do with things? It may be time for some FTS today

Sweet, lets see it! I've been moving all kinds of stuff around in my tank. Got one chunk of hammer set aside so far. :)

Hey Devon, thanks, if anyone understands.......................... it would be you, appreciate that :). Be a bit before I get down there, but I promise some pics today. If everything goes south tomorrow, at least I got this morning ;).

Stunning pics Charlie. Everything looks like it has adjusted well to the new lights.

Congrats on getting your params back in line Charlie. It's a good feeling when you regain control, huh? ;) Nice pictures - looking good!

Kim, thanks, and I see what you meant about the temp in those, I took that last set in the RAW mode and holy crap..........................lol.

It has been a struggle and it is not like they couldn't get out of line again you know, but yeah, I almost had a beer when I saw my Calcium finally drop yesterday.

Yeah, it makes things look a little freaky. I just had to fine tune the color temp a bit. Definitely not the same lighting you had on there before . . . I can see that in the pictures. Looks really nice in person though!

You guys and your beer!

Yeah, that is pretty exciting stuff. If you do celebrate, just make sure you've got a secure place to put your beverage in case the power goes out . . . ya never know ;)

Hey Charlie. the lights have really turned into an adventure for you. i'm not sure, but did you lower your rock work? looks like your fish are doing well. those LPS look good too!!
it's good to hear that your parameters are getting back to "normal". i always hated the ups and downs of Alk and Calcium. seemed like once i had it dialed in something would always come up. you have always been better than me at tank stability. i sure don't miss all calcium lined plumbing, plugged up skimmers, frozen pump impellers...... but i really miss the coral. my hammer, the torch and the echino's........ although i don't miss my trouble with the stags......
keep posting pics, it gives me a little "reef fix" to see your tank every once in a while
