A little tank update with a new addition.
Got this little guy from Barrier Reef.
He is pretty small. Body size is barely 3/4".

He is very pretty.
Be interested how he does long term with the pipefish. No good reason for him to pick on them really, but sail fins can be jerks....

If he starts picking on the pipefish, he will be sent to the big tank and can deal with the big ( to him) tangs.

:) Too bad there's no way to tell him that. It sure would be interesting if we could talk to them...

Not alot has changed. I've added a few and lost a few. Broke my heart when my utter chaos and strawberry wines melted.

So I did decide to change my light. I wanted to go back to my Radion gen 3 fixture, but had to change up the mounting.

So, I started out with a piece of aluminum plate.

Used a jig saw and a belt sander and came up with.

and this.

Got another 2" x 3/8 flat bar for the up right.

And ended up with this.

is the upright attached to the back of the stand?

Yes it is. It's actually 2 pieces.
The bottom part goes down to the floor and is bolted to the stand with lag screws at the bottom and top of the stand.
Then the top piece rests on the stand and is bolted to the other piece. I made it like this so I can remove the top piece without having to get down behind the stand again. It also allows me to be able to raise or lower the height of the fixture by using different bolt holes in the top piece.
What's nice is the whole light stand/hanger cost less than $35 including paint and sand paper and I used tools I already had.

Well the ATI T5 fixture is back over the tank.
Some corals are growing some have passed on.
Still have my Desjardini Tang.
