Mat, at this point I'm trying to get the 'teenagers' on prepared foods, but so far they are pretty much balking at whatever I offer them like it's a bad joke. It's probably going to take a few more weeks and a little tough love. They really aren't as big as they look in the picture, they're just perfect miniatures of the parents, it's pretty amazing. In reality their actually body mass is probably less than half the size of the dime.

I'll try to post a few more pictures this weekend with a size reference.

Hi Jesse,
That's exactly what I've been using, along with very finely ground Formula 1 and 2 flakes. Sometimes I give them this alone, in the morning, when I know they're pretty hungry and sometimes I mix it with their BBS. They're coming around a little as they get used to it, but I can tell it's not what they really want. I'm thinking I'll just slowly phase out the BBS when I know they're getting enough from the other foods.

Congratulations! That is so great... I am glad they are cites protected too after watching scores of them die in fish stores, it was out of control. I had wondered why they stopped appearing. Figured they were fished out or the stores got a clue that most die from the shipping. Captive bred is definitely the way of the future.
That is great they are eating prepared foods already. Wish I could mail you some plankton!
