After I finished my initial fresh water test I pumped the water out of the tank and sump. During this task I spilled some water on the floor and it went underneat my stand. I had to move my stand to make sure I dried up all the water uinder the stand. My oak stand sits directly on the oak floor. So I thought to myself while I was doing this, why don't I just run a bead of clear silicone between the stand and the oak floor so that no water can get underneath there from outside the stand. The stand is going to be moved any time soon anyway. What do you think? Could there be any long term affects getting the silicone off the floor?
