DANG, I love the corkscrew. I bet he is more scared watching it now than when that happened. I love Laguna Seca.
Nascar is its own deal. They set the rules and if you wanna play, thats the way it is.
I like to watch SCCA races. I love the shifter carts. Those guys are insane. Anything racing I love.
This will sound stupid, but I have probley got 50 hours at least on Gran Turismo 4 at Laguna Seca. I love every turn at that track. I have never seen a track that just flowed as well when a driver is in the groove it looks effortless, and when he gets just little off, it sucks away all the speed.
I would love to see a split in Nascar to two Series.
Just thinking about it makes me what to go and drive it.
Hey Luke what do you know about the Wenkel rotary engine? I really liked them when the came out in the Rx-7, Now I am dying for a Rx-8. I think the design concept is amazing, and the power to displacement is tremmendous.
Sorry to Hijack your thread Charlie, but sliding thru the corkscrew at L.S. is one of my dreams. Imagine 43 800hp monsters droping down the hill and pulling downhill to the next left. OH YEAH!!!

OH MY GOD!!! If GT4 only had Laugna Seca, I wouldnt even know!!!! When me and my buddies get together to play, its an unspoken understanding that Laugna Seca is the track that will be used. That is so awsome that you love it too!

If you come out to this area, you can put on my drivers suit and helmet, pretend you are me and take my AE86 (218rwhp@10,700rpm, 1785lbs) around for a few hotlaps.

I cant belive you mentioned shifter karts dude, my whole job through HS was wrenching for Dave Lemay (rotax 100cc). There is nothing on earth that I enjoy more than driving a CR125 zip kart. Its a bigger rush than a bike can give you, absoultly increadible. Thats so cool that you also love them, I'm gona have to share some pics with you.

Ahhhhhh..............
It was just sitting here minding its own business. Now its a Nascar, and racing thread.
If you havent seen a race at L.S. watch one. If your not hooked, I'll send you a shot of adreneline.
Luke, what is the AE86, I dont know what that is.
On GT4 what are you racing in the expert leage? I am using the Sony Pescarlo. I can keep up, but the Nissans keep killing me over the long haul.

Steve...My first car in high school was a 1988 Mazda RX-7. It was a fun car, but the parts and engines were expensive to replace. I went through 2 engines(LOL) One my dad's friends blew the first engine bringing it home for me off of the dock. I use to sit in the center of traffic lights and do donuts! Finally, I got rid of it because it was always something else that needed to change. I loved the 3rd generation Rx-7's like the one Adam Sawuratari use to drive. To get it a rear wheel again...:)

Dude, you suck!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want one sooooo bad!
I am going to have to settle for the Ninga or the CBR. I need to learn how to ride a motorbike.

LOL...Don't feel too bad. It wasn't a turbo one. The car is turbo'd now, but as a first car, my dad felt a turbo wasn't necessary. What do parents know:p

Agreed charlie. I saw my first Cup race in Vegas on March 12. That track was not anything like I had dreamed Nascar racing was like. I was disappointed although my wife who is an avid fan loved it:) They are indeed revamping the track an will be bringing pit row closer to the grandstands which will be nice. But I must admit my overall experience considering 2500.00 for the trip and that did not include that dang additve machines that suck the life out of you was not that great.
Also the planning commitee or the powers that be need to rethink the site logistics for ingress and egress from the track. The stands hold 150,00 which sold out, then add an additional 35,000 of drivers crews and all the rvs in the infeild and it was a nightmare getting back to the hotel. Took aver 2.5 hours just to clear the dirt in the parking lot and another 2 hrs to get back to the hotel. So you figure 4 hours sitting on those hard seats and another 4.5 getting home really sucked. And to make matters worse Jr. did not even finish top 10 and that dipstick Johnson won by a nose and did not lead one dang lap the whole race :( Ya I vote for a track in Wa alright. Thanks for letting me vent fellas.
