Need help building a refuge for a 120 gal.

I currently have a wet/dry tidepool sump. I want to change to a refuge.
I don't know anything about it, but everyone says it is better.
Can anyone give me some ideas--how to set up, what I need, how to build a refuge, what do put in refuge, etc.?

Here is what I currently have:
120 Gal. Reef Aquarium
-Tidepool Sump-
1200gpd recirc pump-
SeaLife 150 protein skimmer-
phos reactor---
72" vho lighting-1 bulb actinic white and 1 bulb Super Actinic--new bulbs February 2009
1200GPd Powerhead
(Re-started beginning of 2009--killed it off due to hair algae.)
1 pair Picasso Clowns
long tenacle toadstool
brown clove polyup
silver xenia
pulsing xenia
star polyup
emerald crabs-12
hermit crabs--120
