I found this critter living in my sump. I am not sure if it is parasitic or a free living creature. It has a slender body and a real big head. It doesnt like the light and tends to live in the darken parts of the sump. As per behavior it seems to really like cuddling up to the return pump, I am not sure but I think it is in some kind of reproductive mode?? maybe it Asexual??

GASP! That's the best picture I've seen!! That needs to go in the ID Gallery :)

I think that depends on who you talk to. Some people enjoy mantis shrimp, like the look of nuisance algae, and find bristleworms cute.

Hmmm....I had read somewhere about this critter doing some form of exotic dancing in sequined undergarments. I would almost need a photo of that, because I'm not sure it's possible....with a head That big, it would almost be like a weeble wooble. :p ;)

ha... definitely not a reproductive mode. I'm too much of a hermit stuck behind a computer as of late! :p

10 mag editors globally, a photographing co-author rightfully berating me to finish editing our next new book... and hopes for some gasp of fresh air at the end of each day :D

Man... I need a hobby. Ha!
