Ok I know I've posted before about the fish that I want to put into my 90g, but it's a reality now because I'm getting ready to add my first fish. Who should I add/buy first?

My list as of right now...

Copperband Butterfly
Some type of Rabbitfish (can't decide on that either....)
Powder blue, or purple tang (what do u think? I can't decide)
Regal Angelfish
3 dispar anthias (or Bartletts, which ever I can get at the time)
Various wrasses (covered tank so I can do it safely)
My clarkii will be added later on... I know that :)

I have a BIG skimmer and am skimming almost 3x's my tank size.

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like fun Becky! I personally would get the hardiest ones first and see how they do and then start working your way to the more sensitive ones as the tank continues to mature...I'm not really that familiar with keeping much of what you have listed, but I figure the wrasses may be the hardiest... Just a thought...I'm kinda lost here, but wanted to give my 2 cents. Have fun!:)

Big skimmers don't necessary help fish, they also need length & with swim room, & a good diet. Now with that said you may have conflicting rabbit & butterfly & if you do the Purple tang put him in last.

In a 90 gal tank I would choose 2 of these at most. Doesn't matter how good the water quality is, the tanks too small (LxW).

Is this a FO, FOWLR or reef? I'm guessing FOWLR?

I would choose one or the other. Again, in this sized tank your choices are limited. You also won't get much more than one wrasse in a 90 gal even without the anthias, most simpley get too big and are quite aggressive as they mature.

Cheers
Steve

I didn't really make myself very clear did I? :) lol anyways, the tank will be a reef tank. I was refering to fairy wrasses and at that the smaller ones of the faries and or carpenters. Tank dimensions are 48x18x24 with a 30g sump.

a 4 foot tank is small for a fish that will grow over nine inches, referring to the regal, powder blue I wouldn't recommend for sure, only a a very large tank. So that throws a curve ball in some of your plans but I promise I wouldn't say that unless I didn't see it myself of what can happen with mixing the wrong fish together. Careful planning is key, Steve could help you with more options I'm sure, I just hate to see people do something that can be problems later.

If you go with the copperband I would make sure that it's eating frozen mysis/mysid before purchasing it as they tend to be hard to keep if they aren't.
