New aquisition pics including oregon blue

Hi everone, just thought I would share some photos of my lastes aquisitions from aquatic dreams this weekend. While in the shop, I twisted Kevins arm into fragging off a piece of the Oregon Blue Tort he had. While fragging the generous piece he sold me, a tip of another branch broke off and fell into the bag...keep in mind this tip was about the size of frags that are sold in some of the shops in the portland area for around $100...if they will sell them to you. He just said, oh well, guess you get that one for free! WOW. Kevin has to be the nicest LFS owner in the Pac northwest, and being from the portland/vancouver area, i have visited quite a few shops. I picked up a few other things while there, so here are a few pics. Not the best, still trying to figure out how to take good photos under radium, lol

Nice stuff, do you know if that is one of the slimer frags that Kevin got from me, or is that his bali slimer? Either way, good grab. keep us informed on how your tort does. It will be interesting to see some growth pics.

Not sure if this was yours, there were two slimers, one was much more fuzzier and not as dense in color, and then there was this one.

Kevin is such a nice guy, he helped me all the way out here in KY for no reason other than just to be nice. I live more than 1000 miles away, and will probley never get to meet him in person. I just want to say little stuff like that is what sets people apart. Going over and beyond just to do the next right thing that is what makes this place so great. That's probably one of mine. Kevin's bali slimer is just a really fuzzy little thing. I've got a frag of his tort, and yes they are slow growers, but you'd be surprised if you give it some good conditions

Did you take the pictures with the Radium on? They sure came out nice without the blue glow. The A. yongei is from Charlie and the A. tortuosa I got from Steve Weast 2/23/03. I hope they grow very well for you.

yes, I have a manual white balance setting I can use. Also, the 150W DE radium isn't as blue as the SE are, lol.

I have seen better growth, but I don't push my Ca and Alk levels. I try to keep them close to natural seawater.
