These two shipments are in! The Florida/Caribbean is nowhere to be seen??!!?? We are trying to figure out what happened. Hopefully, it will still show later this week. The LA wholesale order will be coming thursday...or so we're told

The Geo Calcium Reactors will also be coming in this week!! Once they arrive and are inspected I will post in a seperate thread.

How much is the carpet Cy?
What species is it BTW? Not Haddoni is it?

Its $49.99. They all came in as Haddoni but I am guessing Gigantea. The book we referenced shows little difference between 2 or 3 species so its not easy to ID.

See the thing is that I got a haddoni a while back, and it ate my $70 wrasse, onyx clown, and clown goby. Don't want to go through that again. If you find out for sure what it is let me know please. Thanks

Thats carpet anemones in general. At least in my experience.

Cy, can you get a look at the underside of the oral disc to see the color of the verrecue. Or can you get a few more pics if the anemone hasnt sold yet

Hadoni anemones are much more prone to eating fish that giganteas. S.hadoni will sometimes even eat clowns that arent normally found in hadoni such percs like Edwing has found out.

So Chris and I did a little research and checked the anemone out closely...didn't help Then Rod and I went over it on the phone...we still can't make a definate ID.

Now that the anemone is shruken up a little from all the examinations they are definately purple spots and not lines. We also just noticed that he must have caught himself on the eggcrate and has a wound that needs healing before we sell it. So purple spots instead of lines means gigantea???

Here's what I found out Cy.

"Anyhoo, yes, generally, orange verrucae for Merts, but also merts verrucae (whichever colour) run all the way down to the pedal disc, whereas they stop mid point (ish) down the column in Gigas. Gigas generally blue/purple verrucae

Giga tentacles will usually taper, where merts will end bluntly. Merts sometimes exhibit longer tentacle area around the mouth area.

Hads generally don't exhibit verrucae."

I added some details to the latest shipment. There are 3-4 show stoppers included in the Acroporas that came in.
