NEW TANG IN QT white spot??

This spot started to show up two days ago and seems to be getting bigger??
What do you think it is?? It's the one behind her eye on her side?

maybe its the colors starting to show up.It is a white faced tang isnt it?Just a guess though

i dont really know.i do remeber seeing something almost like it on my blue tang but that was because it got in a fight with a powerhead that had fallen down.It had that white spot sorta like that for a few days and did get bigger for a few days but then started to regain its color.Could that be a possibility?

Is it flashing at all? Looks like a scuff. It's def not MI from the pic...

No but I just looked at her again, 30 mins after the pic and now she has three more smaller ones above the other..
They seem to be scuffs from the rocks..
She IS in a 29 gallon for QT and swims MACH 3 around the tank..
It may be scratches..

BTW isn't she just sooooo pretty...

The new "scuffs" could be from her flashing. That certainly doesn't look like a scratch in the pic. How long was it in QT before this showed up?

here are one that is one my rabbit now cant see it that good but better than nothing.Mine looks more like a scratch then the one on the tang

if "FLASHING" is rubbing or "attacking" something she does seem to not like her reflection on the far side of the tank at all.. and she seems to hang out in that corner when afraid..
I'm still trying to get her to be not so afraid every time I walk up to the tank or even walk by it..
When I stand there 5 feet from the tank she is fine but If I make any sudden movement she FREAKS out and swims behind the rock to hide.. She come out in seconds but still very scared fish..

Maybe she thinks your sexy so shes flashing you LOL.

No seriuosly it ain't no biggy. My two tangs starts flashing spots on them when they get irritated with each other.

I wouldn't be too worried looks like flashing (fish rubs up against rocks or objects in tank) to me or running into rocks which if the Tang is skittish would be normal till she settles down a bit. Because of her coloring probably any little scuff is going to show up and be more noticeable. If she keeps darting behind rocks if it is at all possible to maybe move them forward a little so she has more room back there to hide might be good. Also probably keeping things calm around the QT tank would probably be good (Sounds easier then it is when you have kids trust me I know lol). I would watch those scuffs for infection (redness or swelling). Think of it like your child with a skinned knee sometimes they can look bad but... it's just a skinned knee

See now look what happened I gave myself bad luck cuz this morning I see my Potter's with a scuff lol I changed some stuff around in my tank and that dang angel fly's thru the tank awww fish what can you do lol.

yeah it just looks like a scuff. how long have you had it ? was it caught with a normal net ? I hate when the LFS uses a regular net to catch them and the spike on the tail fin gets caught in the net.
