I didnt know the details then, but i gots them now. Anyways i heard a rumor of a guy you had a big tank for sale, since im the only person who likes fish out of my friends, they tell me these things. Anyways i get this guys number and he tells me he has a 220 gal setup for sale, only wants 1200, well i figure ill offer him 800 and snag it. Well i check it out and its PIMPIN! He has a nice homemade stand with sump, 2 overflows, and 2 Iwaki return pumps, the canopy is wierd and is 8ft L on a 6ft tank, with 4 VHO's (didnt know VHO's where that fat) but the tank is clean an the guy is really smart, (smarter than me!) so if i can scrouge up the money i will offer him the $1000 and hopefully hae a near complete setup, the tank also comes with a SEIO powerhead, so the major things ill need is LR and a PS, with MH down the road, i think its a sweet deal, do you guys?

sounds like a good tank. Think into protein skimmers though. I would look into using 1 of the iwakis on a becket skimmer. probably cheapest way.

Yea sounds good try and buy a new 220, it alone will cost $800 or more.

Do like I do when I need money e-bay everything and have a garage sale for everything else. LOL BTW, I don't own anything anymore, just a fish tank:D

Oh man, Steve. Maybe you should have put that in Brad’s “mistake you don’t want to admit” thread. lol

Yeah Jiddy, that sounds like a killer deal!
That’d be one heck of a good head start.... At least maybe you wouldn’t be up grading to a bigger tank for a while. =)

Well i found the funds, won some poker games this weekend! And cleaned out my car seats for spare change, then sold the car, lol, kiddin about that, but i will be sellin my caddy to afford a skimmer. You said beckett Brad? which one do you rec for a 220, is the ASM g-series beckett?

actually If you can build with acrylic I would build an airstone powered one Like mojo has. I saw his yesterday and it could outskim any skimmer out there. It is 6'6" or so though and 12" diameter tubing.

The asm's are needlewheel but you would need at least a g-4 to run that thing maybe bigger.

an asm would be better for that price and the multi would probably only work up to 150 gallons.

I have parts for about two computers myself LOL, I'm about to sell an arm to try and get ahead, I finally got my Mad Dog skimmer, this thing is huge. I have the TB 1000 on my 100g tank, It isn't enough & I souped it up.
