good point!!

I will get a bose "Wave" radio LOL for the room!!

I am doing built in book shelves though in the back in those little alcoves next to the circuit box and on the other side. Now I have an excuse to get Corals of The World 1-3 LOL!

LOL...excellent.... Dont forget a couple of ceiling lights to highlight those books.

Looks like you got your work cut out for a while Mike, but it does look really nice...Another person rubbing it in with their acrylic tanks...Geeesh (LOL)

I got some more finished tonight and I am going to try and tackle the last long wall tommorow. There is a hose bib shut off that I have to work around on the wall I was doing tonight but I did manage to get the window framed in and the rest of that wall. My Father in Law will help with the weird stuff LOL on Wed this week.

I have one more 12 foot long span to fram and I am golden!!! I am thinking of just building 2 - 6 foot walls and butting them together that way I can build on the floor and slide them on in to level and secure them. Building in place has its place though. the floor there is level though so I might just go ahead and do it on the floor and stand it up LOL.

here is what I worked on this evening, framing in that wall where the window is in the maintenance room. I have a small area I need to do Wed with my father in law (frame in around the hose bib shut off gate valve) and teh back wall I might do tommorow.

Closed in the main beam with OSB, ripped some 2x4's to frame in the pipes pn the ceiling, framed in some HVAC stuff and finished framing the back wall!

Wiring on Friday and the weekend!

Update:

Near completion on the wiring. I am doing teh tank power center last because I am still exploring that and my options for a control panel with the DJ switches and X-10 outlets with the local control disabled.

I used mostly 6 " recessed IC cans and 2-3" cans over the book shelves taht will be built in.

Here are some pics. I put in mega outlets (because builders never put in enough) and I am also putting in outlets on the backwall of the maintenance room at counter top level (will be growing my own food and frags in there).

Mike, I hope you didn't mention this before, but did you run multiple breakers to those outlets?

I have the living room plugs on one set of breakers. The viewing room on another breaker, the mainteneace room on one breaker, the lights on two seperate brealers and the tank on 4 breakers.

I have 11 outlets on the one set of breakers in the living room. We calculated out the draw and its really minimal in reality (friend is an electrician) I just wanted enough to have options in terms of placing furnishings and things. the highest draw will be from my computer in that room.

The next line has 10 lighting cans on it at 60W each on a 15 amp circuit.
Then I have one running from another cicuit to a basement light (existing) that will be removed and replaced by two cans with 60 watt bulbs in the little hall.

All told I have 8 new circuits for this area :)

That is what I was hoping to hear, most excellent!! Ok I'm ready for the next set of pics:lol: .

Hey Mike...Looking good! Atleast I'm not the only one on RF using an artificial background (LOL) Yours however, looks more like a reef setup whereas mine has been described as looking like a cichlid tank! Good luck with the rest of your progress

a few updates

Waiting to finish the insulation until I get the fan mounted and wired in the ceiling behind the tank.

Also thinking of setting up the 33 gallon frag tank for holding
