Hello everyone...New to this forum....

Just curious about where is the "WTB/WTS/WTT" section? Haven't found it yet//

Welcome to Reef Frontiers Peng.

We would all love to hear about your tank. How long have you been in the hobby? How big is your tank? What kind of livestock are you keeping. We all love hearing about what others are doing. Please share your experiences. Get to know some of the members here.

Hi I've been doing PNWMAS for couple months and didn't know why everybody there was from Oregon until now...So I'm basically transferring to here.
I have 90 gallon tank, SPS mainly, a little mixed with some other corals. I love this hobby. I entered this hobby when I was in elementary school in China.

I first had a 250L tank with fish only. Then I had some corals and eventually it upgraded to a 1.5 ton tank. But back there I was never able to make the corals grow. Every quarter me and my dad spend several thousand CNY to buy corals and they all last only for about 3~4 month. I guess the reason was that we didn't even know what was a "RO/DI" (could have saved so much if we knew that)

But now I'm a student here in the U.S. and me and my partner are running a 90 gallon tank we bought from Tim from Port Orchard, together. We live in Lynnwood. We just went to Hawaii and brought some fishes back. I really love SPS corals because back in China I never had a chance to even look at then because it was a miracle if you can make an SPS grow. But, yeah, thats a brief intro.

Oh by the way my name is Peng :D

Very cool. It would be great to hear more about what the hobby was like there.
What fish did you bring back from Hawaii? Were you able to catch them yourself?

nahhhh we tried a LLLLLOOOOOTTTT....no fish caught... they are SOOOOO SMART and so fast... We got a moorish idol, a flame angle, a longnose batter, a blue tang, kole tang, yellow tang, orange shoulder, clowns, and some other fishes. The only thing I can say is.,.... we buy fishes here like, for example, 60 for a moorish idol, but if you get it there, it's $12, and if you are a fish store here, you get moorish idol for $7 and you sell for $60. so... that's probably why I thought, well, probably better to do reef than a lot of fishes.
