I have a new type of algae starting to grow only on the LR, It doesn’t look like hair algae (been there done that) It’s a lighter/brighter green & looks almost like a moss or green diatoms?

As I stated before I did have had several outbreaks of hair algae! I narrowed it down to overfeeding, a DSB that was loaded with Po4, & a bad RO Membrane! I tore out the DSB & decided to install a plenum system with CC & CaribSea’s special grade 1~2 mm size reef sand. While I was setting up the plenum I put my corals & critters in my refugium. I then removed all the LR scrubbed it really good then left it sit in a Rubbermaid tub for two weeks without any lights just a heater & powerhead! I also treated the LR with S.A.T during that time.

My water perimeters are all great & I do a 15% weekly RO/DI water change! I know it’s hard to describe without a pic! I will try to borrow one to get a pic! However I just can’t figure out where this new algae is coming from?

Is it really tough stuff, wire like
It's hard to tell because it is just starting kind of looks like mold on a piece of bread!

As far as being easy to remove it don't look good! I tried my little scrub brush on a small piece of the LR & it didn't come off!
