Well I've had this tank up and running for awhile now and have a build thread on Pnwmas.org as well as posting on the Coldwater tank owners Facebook page. So far nothing too crazy in the tank but the long term plan is to make it a cephalopod tank.

For those of us who know absolutely nothing about CW Marine tanks. Would it be possible to put some names to the species your keeping? I for one am very interested :)
Your tank is awesome!

I have all sorts of things in this tank. Hermits, assorted snails, about 12 tidal sculpin fish, 1 Irish lord fish, six kelp crabs, shrimp, green surf nem, aggregating nem, and painted nems. That's just a few of what's in here.

Thank you! Now at least I can put a face to a name-lol. :) Did you build that back wall yourself? It's pretty sweet looking.

Yeah I was informed from stu at Coldwater marine aquatics that you use pond spray foam and rock salt for the background. Coldwater rocks are much more dense and I didn't want to add a bunch of weight to the tank so I did the spray foam route.

Hey looks good. WELCOME to the coldwater. Lol u were prob doing it before me.
I've got some filefish but Cephlapods...!!! That's gonna b crazy.

Wat equipment are you using or special equipment for the squids?!
D

No squids bud. This is Jesse btw in case you didn't notice that yet.

As of now I've been adding more nems and have a critter keeper setup with two juvenile starry flounders with live mysis shrimp in the container for food. Not sure if I ever will do a cephalopod but who knows. Really wanting to do a red pacific octopus

cool tank. i have been told that most of the cold water anemones will not stick to the foam walls.

The nems seem to be walking up the wall just fine. I added rock salt for crevices for them to foot to as well as look more realistic.

Greens attach readily to foam. Along with metridiums and aggragating nems. Urticinas typically don't like to attach to foam. But I just had my first painted attach to foam. So who knows.
