octopus recirculating skimmer

Lets talk about recirculating protein skimmers here.

After a debate with myself. I'm grnna upgrade my 120. I was gonna sell wat I could.
I'm gonna get hopefully a octopus 200 I think it is.
I'm gonna mount this piece external.
However... q's lol.

I wanna re plumb my drain overflow so the water line has the skimmer and pellet reactor r in line. Is that possible?
Do I need to chop bubbles in a pump before it gets recirculated in the body?
Or will my overflow b efficent?

yes you can plumb to skimmer and reactor just plumb a safety drain line with gate valve. That will allow fine tuning to gallon per hour to skimmer I run that line to refugium.

K got a lite reef skimmer yeaterday in a trade. Gonna run it with a dc pump. Super excited I am to see the results.
