The simple way, right into the skimmer. Some are not o3 compatable so you have to know for sure.

As Don says the simple way is a skimmer. There are plans for Reactors to include pics of my custom built one and another one I helped a guy with a few months ago. However, unless one is willing to go the extra yard they can be more of a pain. It can be very difficult to remain reactor water, levels unless one is using a auto-level float switch or a fine tuned "burp" control value. MTC also makes a reactor but it is no cheap and neither was mine.

One can make a simple home made reactor that can work pretty well, consisting of 2 very long coils of ozone proof plastic tubing. One for the ozonated water and one for post ozonated water filled with carbon to remove any OTO's generated by the ozone before it enters the tank.

I saw someone (mike?) ran his thru a very long tube 50 feet or maybe it was 100 feet to get it safe for his system.

You suggest 2 coils so would it go thru coil#1 then thru coil#2 and if so where is the carbon before tube #2 ? Not inside it ??? How would you get it in or out of the tube ???

Yes, # 1 to 2# . You just use a carbon like SeaChem Labs Matrix and pour it in and pour it out when needed and fit both ends with a screen.

Mike

Thanks for posting that I could not remember where I saw all that. The "coil" method was inivated by Dr. Randy Homels Farley.

Here are some other pics and info I finally found

You can also make what we call Ozone Cones/Ozone Saturators only scaled
down.

Or these can also be used re-scaled and mod

Pyrex mixers are cool but sort of expensive $75 and can be fed right into a cheap fluidized rector full of carbon.

Thanks for the ideas.

I want to use it now but cant seem to aford a better skimmer and the one I have I hate and is not ozone safe.

I can't see me using a mag 18 and 100feet of hose for many reasons.

I would like to realy thank everybody (Boomer A+)for there input i have ask this question one like 4 other forums and this is the best response i got on all of them this was my first post on Reef Frontier and i'm very happy whit the results

Paul, I have a berlin turbo that I used to use for my Ozone. Near worthless as a skimmer, but once messed around with, worked well for ozone. I would swap it for any reliable heater, powerhead, pump, or whatever.
