Pairing Maroon Clowns

Anyone have any success or tips/tricks in pairing maroons? I have read that it works best with a large female and small male. My large female is currently in the tank hosting in her nem, should I try to remove her and put them both in neutral grounds?

I'm sure she'll beat the crap out of him at first. I've done it a couple times and the scales always fly. After a while, once she's beat him into submission she'll let him hang out . My female and male rarely sleep or swim together. She makes him hang out on the outskirts of their leather host.

After keeping the smaller clown in the container for about 2 weeks. I was able let him go in the tank, that method at least allowed the larger female to not beat up the little one, but she is not letting him close to her nem or her side of the tank for that matter. I think they are in the state of the often heard saying "....not even if you were the last man on earth....". Hopefully he'll just wear her down and eventually pair up
