Par38 bulb for refugium/frag tank

I'm looking for a bulb that will give me a good balance for growing macro algae and getting good color with my frags. I have a 9"x11" (12" deep) section of my sump set up with live rock on the bottom, then macro, and a frag rack around the top perimeter. I realize that macro and frags generally like different lighting but I am hoping this could work out. Here is the bulb I'm looking into http://m.ebay.com/itm/351037674169?nav=SEARCH my main concern is that the kelvin rating may be too high for the macro, and 18 3w leds may be too much for such a small area (I could order one with less leds but it would be the same price). Well what do you think? Am I crazy for thinking this set up could work? Thanks

There are always better ways to do anything, but keeping to a tight budget saves a lot of stress.

Agreed, I'd love a show fuge and a separate frag tank one day, but for now this should do nicely. Thanks for the advice
