I read they eat coraline algae, does anyone know if that is true? I have a bunch in my tank, I'm pretty sure they are nocturnal. I've seen them with 3 to 7 legs lol.

"Yes they ate my coraline algae but a harlequin shrimp took care of them".
Hey "Saltwaterfishes" Do you still have the Harlequin shrimps and were the Astrea enough to feed them without adding a starfish?
Todd
astrea starfish harmless. We have tons in my sisters tank.
Their numbers are not much now but I am planning to get 2-4 harlequin shrimps to keep thier population down or better yet decimate them.
