pump is a mag 24 ( probably not the best choice but this was the only thing that i could afford)

outlet for the pump is 1- 1 1/4 inch
pump will probably be 2 feet from the tank.

tank is a eurobraced glass 30x30x18~ 75 gallons. another cube yay gonna do it right this time. ( planing on keeping sps)

what i dont know is how:
1.how many outlets and what size outlets with the most efficient amount of flow.
2. if i make manifold ring/loop of PVC how big of feed line will i need to make it?
3. off topic ( im using a hob overflow i believe its a 1 inch drain) will the overflow compensate if the pump is pushing more water than the overflow or will i need to dial down the mag pump?

should i just use 1 1/4 inch piping for the feed line and PVC manifold loop?

im a total newb when it comes to plumbing and leaky seals is a reoccurring nightmare second to only to flooding a tank.

TY in advance RF

Way to much pump for a return and overflow also excess heat. Id get a much smaller pump.

Thanks don i agree with a smaller pump for the return(make sense) ive got that covered.

I still would like to use the mag 24 for current as i do not want to use powerheads.
same question but for a closed loop ( i still like the idea of making a pvc loop along the top of the tank)

The mag pump will be loud and add too much unwanted heat. Not to mention they don't do too well as a CL pump.
