From the way it looks, you are gonna be able to use a submersible pump for a return. Are the overflows in the main tank gonna be drilled in the bottom, cuz that'd be a piece of cake. What pump were you thinking of using for your return-closed loop.

Hi charlie! I should have mentioned that Mojoreef(Mike) wanted me to post this here as he is in the process of getting some some lined up for me and wanted a pic of the sump.

I am enclosing a pic of my cal reactor and wanted to know if this can be hooked up to the return line and not be in use until I get the CO2 5 pound bottle and the other gadgets to run it. :)

I think charlie Mike will be more apt to answer your question as he is having the tank done for me.

Here is the pic showing the cal reactor.:)

I've not got to much experience with Ca reactors as mine isn't here yet. I've read where people run their reactors from their return lines but I'm just not sure. I am pretty sure that I am gonna feed mine with a MJ1200. Hope this helps. Hey, if ya need any help settin things up, let me know. All I gotta do is hop on that wonderful HWY93 and cruise on down.

How come you aren't havin Damon or Steve help ya out:D

Hmmm johnny anything I should know about the handcuffs hanging in the closet thier buddy????lol. long nights in montana???

Give a bit and I will put a plan together

Mike

Ok Johnny here is your return water plumbing system. I will buy the psrt for ya and send them with the tank. concept is pretty simple. water goes out through the duraso standpipe, to the sump then back out your mag to the two top 3/4" outputs drilled through the back of the tank. locline on the inside and just use tubing for the piping.

Thanks Mike! It looks great!

Didn't know about the mag pump? How big of a MAG pump will I need? I wondered how the plumbing was going to work. Well RA(DAVE) was right about using the AMP Master 2100 on the close loop. :)

As far as skimmer just drop the Ocean Runner 2700 in the sump and hang the skimmer on the outside of the sump and should be good to go!:)

lol- looks like a great plan. Well done mike and johnny..

Mike some info I found on the Ocean Runner 2700 pump to replace the RIO 2100 pump on the Turbo Flotor 1000 skimmer.

This is a quality built German pump

3500 liters/hour

Cutoff height 9.6 feet

65 watts

6 foot power chord

for indoor use only

1 inch male thread inlet 3/4 inch male thread outlet

polished ceramic shaft and bearing suitable for fresh or saltwater can be uses submerged or external

Does this help ya!:)

Looks good Johnny and Mike. This is gonna be a nice set up!
Mike.....those arent handcuffs, that a fishing item...called a gill stringer. When ya catch the fish, ya run the stringer through the gills, and lock it...this keeps the fish alive until you get em home and clean em.
