Went to the movies at around 10 watched Hostel THE MOST GOREST DISGUSTING MOVIE EVER ( i wanted to puke out of my nose), came home power was out. Transformer fuse blew for aprox 6 hours, electricians and people came to cut the trees down this is at 12AM in the morning. My tank inhabitants began being some what drowsy and lying along the bottom and to the side im guessing b/c of the lack of oxygen. I had some spare back up pumps i just purchased 6 of them. Put them on battery operated, ended up looking at the temp. It started at 80 degrees and dropped to 74 at the end.
Back in the summer i use to take bottles of frozen water and just place it in the aquarium helping lower the temp because it would skyrocket to about 88 and there was nothing i could do about it b/c i didnt have a chiller. But little do you know that my GF told me i could do the same with just hot boiling water. Of course i still have boiling water in the faucet. That helped bring the temp back up 2 degrees to 76. Mother was extremely helpful in my time of need. Stood with the flashlight and watched me at work trying to save my precious hobby.
A couple of the acros began bleaching .... and i think they're going to die....
Is there anything i can do about it.......
thank you. for listening to my story. very memorable one- thanks mom
